The article presents a study of the correspondence between the Lübeck magistrate and Reval from 1481 to 1500, preserved in the Tallinn City Archives (Tallinna Linnaarhiiv), using the method of descriptive statistics. The research revealed that most documents from this period remain unpublished, while the published materials are found mainly in collections of Livonian acts (Liv-, Est-, Kürländisches Urkundenbuch). The thematic analysis of the letters showed that they concern various issues, including Hanseatic trade, Russo-Hanseatic relations, international affairs, the activities of the Hanseatic League, legal and inheritance disputes, as well as matters related to the Livonian Order and Ivar Axelsson. The majority of the documents pertain to judicial proceedings. On average, the Lübeck magistrate sent about eleven letters per year to Reval, with the highest activity observed in 1490–1491, presumably due to increased attention to international relations and Hanseatic trade. The analyzed corpus reflects key aspects of Hanseatic activity in both western and eastern regions. The results complement earlier research on the period 1400–1480 and emphasize the need for further study of the Tallinn archival materials to deepen the understanding of relations between Lübeck and Reval.
