Abstract

The article presents the results of the initial stage of the reconstruction of the book collection of the XVII century Dorpat resident Kaspar Johann Kniffiy. This book collection was a part of the Theophan Prokopovich's library. The reconstruction was conducted utilizing the handwritten inventory of the Novgorod Theological Seminary Library dated 1929/1930, put together by V.V. Maykov at the Leningrad State Public Library, and books found in the National Library of Russia. The article contains a list of 168 books with the owner's records of Kniffiy.
